With about 30 ft of free space (second driveway) to the right of the house, we saw an opportunity to expand. We knew we wanted to reconfigure the kitchen, and find a new place for the front entrance.

We decided that the most cost effective thing was to not change the second floor, and only extend the right exterior walls.

The updated floorplan:

Created a grand front breezeway, added a full bath where the original kitchen was, added a gourmet kitchen, and a true master bedroom.
